1907 (PC778) Morgan Stationery
"Red Belt" Postcards |

painted background variation |
RARE - 3.5" by 5.5" printed by the Morgan Stationery Co. of Cincinnati. These postcards consist of colorized single player or group action photos taken at the Cincinnati Reds ballpark then known as the Palace of Fans and include pictures of the Reds and Pirates of the National League and Toledo of the minors. Many of the players are shown with bright red belts thus giving the set its nickname. There are 11 different cards in the set with at least one variation in the background design (Miller Huggins), and this card can be found with either a light gold or a dark brown "Post Card" design on back. |
