SCARCE - The set of cards known as E91 American Caramel Co. is actually made up of 3 similar sets, E91-A, E91-B, and E91-C, issued over 3 years from 1908-10. You can tell the 3 sets apart by the checklist on back... Set "A" has Chicago NL at bottom of back, Set "B" has New York NL at bottom, set "C" has Boston AL at bottom. The 1.5" by 2.75" E91 cards are known as "fake design" because of the generic drawings that usually don't look like the player and are used for more than one player. Each of the 3 sets have 33 different players, and each card has its own set checklist on the back. |
