SCARCE - These 3.5" by 5.5" postcards were printed by the Feicke-Desch Printing Co. These B&W postcards are found in 2 versions, the first reads "Cincinnati Reds Champions of National League 1919", the second version reads "Cincinnati Reds World's Champions 1919". These postcards are usually found with the 2 lines of type in the bottom border of the postcard, but some postcards have been cut so that these 2 lines of type are in the top border of the postcard, and these are much scarcer. There are 24 different players known.
VERY RARE- The 1919 Cincinnati Red Foldout Photos. Not much in known about this item. It is a 2" by 3" real photograph attached to a heavy paper mount. The real photograph has the players name in fancy script within the photo. The 2.4" by 3.5" mount is made of heavy black construction paper with a red line around photo. Thought to be a single photo removed from a foldout souvenir pack, but not sure as I have not seen the complete piece. Only a single players seen (Schreiber, Roush). |
