VERY RARE - Uncataloged, 3.25" by 5" postcards put out by a Cuban candy company named Chocolate La Imperial ca.1920. Only 2 different cards are known so far, Tris Speaker (Cleveland uniform) and a Babe Ruth/Rogers Hornsby card (Hornsby is in a Stl. NL uniform). Backs say "Republica de Cuba Tarjeta Postal" at top and the player(s) are identified at bottom. In the upper left corner is a portrait of a lady in headress with the words "Chocolate La Imperial" above and "B.Masso Baja 61 Sao de Cuba." below. These 2 cards are the only examples known. |
