VERY RARE - These Lections cards are 4" by 2.5" in size. Little is known of the origin or manner of distribution of these rare cards. Virtually unknown in the hobby until 1997 when a hoard of 28 cards was discovered in Albany, NY. Some of the cards have been seen with punch holes, leading collectors to think they may have been some sort of redemption card at a candy or toy store. Almost all known cards are in lower condition. Lections are found in orange or green print, the backs are blank, and they are made of a thick card stock with diecut round corners. To date there are roughly 40 total Lections cards in existence, with no more than a half dozen of each player known, with some players as low as a single example known. The checklist stands at 10 different baseball players. |
