1923 (W515)
Strip Cards |

W515-1 |
These 1.4" by 2.25" color strip cards are drawings based on real photos, and known as 1923 W515-1. They were sold in strips of 5 or 10 for a penny. Like all strip cards, most found today have been cut (sometimes poorly or ripped) into individual cards. Complete strips are fairly scarce. Another related set is the 1923 W515-2 strip cards which are slightly larger in size, have different photo cropping/design changes, and have the words "THE LITTLE WONDER PICTURE SERIES" across the top of the strip. The W515's are also similar to the very rare 1923 Fleer cards. There are 60 numbered blank backed cards in each of the W515 sets. |
