1927 (FC59) Honey Boy Ice Cream Purity Ice Cream Co. (Canada) |
|
VERY RARE - These seldom seen ice cream cards are from the Purity Ice Cream Co. of Winnipeg Canada, and found in their Honey Boy Ice Cream product. The B&W cards are 1.6" by 2.4" in size with a card number and an offer for free ice cream on the back. The complete set of 21 cards were originally redeemable for free ice cream. These Honey Boy cards are so rare it is unknown if any of the cards in the set were short printed to make the offer tougher, like many similar card sets of the era. The set of 21 cards include 9 cards picturing local semi-pro players. Cards have been found with redemption punch holes from the free ice cream offer on back. |
