SCARCE - These cards were made for 5 of the 8 Pacific Coast League teams in 1947, with some teams being scarcer than others. They are 5.5" by 3.5" horizontal designed cards made from drawings by former big leaguer Al Demaree (also drew the mid 1930's R304 & R332 series). The backs show an ad for Signal Gasoline and a radio station. In the set there are 20 different Hollywood players, 18 different Los Angeles players, 19 different Oakland players, 16 different Sacramento players, and 16 different Seattle players. |
